Document Templates

Templates allow you to customize the default settings and content for new untitled documents; they can be useful for working with different paper sizes or for creating standardized corporate "stationery", for example. To create a new document from a template, choose one of the options in the New From Template submenu of the File menu. To create a new template from an OmniGraffle document, save it to one of the folders listed in Template Preferences, and it will appear in the New From Template menu the next time you run OmniGraffle. OmniGraffle also recognizes the "Stationery Pad" attribute that can be set for documents in the Finder's Info window, which provides the same functionality as saving in one of the template folders.
